Abstract

This article discusses the status and functioning of Russian and Uzbek slang, as well as the translation of these slangs. The authors investigate the features of these linguistic phenomena, as well as their role in society and communication.
At the beginning of the article, the authors present the definition of slang and its difference from other language variants. They draw attention to the fact that slang is an informal language used in certain social groups or environments. In the future, the authors compare Russian and Uzbek slang, revealing their common features and differences.
Next, the authors analyze the status of slang in society, as well as the fact that slang can be used in texts and if translated correctly, it will be possible to understand what should have been in the original. The authors also note that slang has its own function in communication, helping group members to express their belonging to it and establish closeness and trust to each other. In conclusion, the authors draw conclusions about the status and functioning of Russian and Uzbek slang.
