TRANSFORMATION OF TRADITIONAL PROVERBS AS A WAY OF FORMING INTERNET PHRASEOLOGY

Abstract

This article examines the ways of developing Internet phraseology through the transformation and distortion of traditional literary proverbs and sayings. The author's goal was to understand English and Russian Internet phraseological units as a reflection of the culture and character of users of the media space. A complete study of the phraseological fund of the new Internet style does not fit into the framework of the target study, however, using the example of phraseological units considered in the article, one can get an idea of the thinking of English and Russian Internet users and IT workers, which plays an important role in the study.
