MODERN METHODS OF TEACHING ENGLISH IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract
This article explores several approaches to teaching foreign languages in academic settings. The direct method, grammar-translation, audio-visual, audiolingual, and communicative methods all received special consideration. It is considered that communicative method has begun to take center stage.
