This article reflects information about the phenomenon of bilinguism, its emergence and the history of the study of the world and Uzbekistan today. In parallel, the types of bilingualism, that is, according to the interdependence of speech mechanisms, the types and classification criteria according to the degree of knowledge of the language code, are highlighted
